If you’re passionate about advocacy, accessibility, and uplifting trans and gender-diverse voices, we encourage you to apply.
Applications are open through April 30, 2026—join us in helping guide the future of Trans Up Front!

Parent & Caregiver Advisory board
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to serve on the Parent and Caregiver (P&C) Advisory Board to advocate for and advise on issues affecting parents of transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) youth. This position is open to the direct and legal caregivers or the parents of TGNC youth. The representative will ensure that the advisory board’s outreach, programming, events, and resources are tailored to the needs and interests of TGNC youth as well as the caregivers.

Teen Advisory board
Trans Up Front IL is excited to launch our Teen Advisory Board, ages 13-18 to help center the voices of TGNC (transgender and gender non-conforming) youth across Illinois. We’re looking for passionate teens who want to share their ideas and help us find new ways to support and uplift trans and gender non-conforming youth, adolescents, and teens.
As a Teen Advisory Board member, you’ll have the chance to build leadership skills, participate in public speaking, peer outreach, advocacy training, and connect with amazing change makers across Illinois. You’ll learn more about how social change happens and how you can advocate for your community.

Accessibility Advisory board
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to serve on the Accessibility Advisory Board to advocate for and advise on issues affecting transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) individuals who also navigate disabilities—whether physical, sensory, intellectual, cognitive, or mental health-related. This position is open to individuals who are stakeholders in both the TGNC and disability communities, including those with lived experience, accessibility professionals, and caregivers or family members of individuals within these communities. The representative will ensure that the board’s outreach, programming, events, and resources are inclusive, affirming, and accessible to this intersectional community.
