Ambassador Program
This ambassador program will help us reach rural areas and those that are underserved within the state of Illinois to work directly with TGNC individuals in the area to create customized resources, provide free training, assistance with vetting providers who are affirming/provide gender affirming care, provide financial support for advocacy needs and more to uplift those communities who need it the most. This project is intended to have a 360 wrap around approach in supporting the community and practicing active listening first to their needs.
Sanctuary Project
We know personally that more and more families with trans youth and young adults are crossing state lines to get access to gender affirming care. We are working on providing support to match them with places to stay, assistance with with financial barriers such as hotel, travel and other costs. The goal of this project as we gain funding is to help with relocation barriers and other needs for families to seek safety in our state and access affirming care and community. Every dollar towards this project goes directly to supporting a family or individual in need.
