Supreme Court Ruling in U.S. v. Skrmetti: We Stand with Trans Youth Everywhere

On the morning of Wednesday, June 18, the Supreme Court announced its devastating 6-3 decision in U.S. v. Skrmetti—a ruling that upholds bans on gender-affirming healthcare for transgender youth.

Though the case originated in Tennessee, its impact reaches far beyond state lines. Even here in a sanctuary state, we recognize that transgender youth across the country are being told they can no longer access the care they need and deserve. This decision is part of a broader, targeted attack on our communities by those in power.
